Length of Pregnancy

So after @cyrelljimenezpaule posted the question asking how long pregnancy actually is, we thought we’d better make a post to clarify for all you ladies out there wondering!!

(Side note: NO question is ever stupid!! Asking questions allows you to actively participate in your own health care and the health care of your baby! NEVER be afraid to ask, and NEVER apologise for asking! The internet can be a cruel and harsh place, but this page aims to answer any and all questions with NO judgement! Let this be your safe space! ❤️)

So, how long is pregnancy I hear you ask? Well, the answer is: anywhere from 37-42 weeks! Normal pregnancy gestation can vary for each woman and each pregnancy. It is important to remember that your ‘Due Date’ is only an estimate and that you are considered full-term from 37 - 42 weeks (9-10 months)!

This is why you’ll hear some people telling you pregnancy is 9 months and some telling you it’s 10! I always tell women, expect to go to 41/42 weeks and be pleasantly surprised if you meet your little one sooner! Rather that than staring at the clock for an extra 2 weeks 😆😆 it’ll drive you nuts! #pregnancylength#pregnant#pregnancyjourney#9monthspregnant#pregnancyjourney#midwife#midwifery#women#womenshealth#knowyourbody#knowledgeispower#healtheducation#education#educate#health#information#informationispower#powerful#power#knowyourpower#powerfulwomen#womensupportingwomen#womenempowerment#womenempoweringwomen
